PUBLIC NOTICE 

Individuals interested in being elected to the Grayslake Community High School District 127 Board of Education may pick up candidate nominating packets in the District office at Grayslake Central High School, 400 N. Lake Street Grayslake, IL from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

The District Office will be open the following dates and times to file election petitions: December 17-21, 2012 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and December 26, 2012 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  (Please note the District Office will be closed on December 24 and December 25, 2012.)

Additionally, the District Office will be open on the following dates and times to file objections to election petitions:  December 27-28, 2012 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and January 2-4, 2013 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Please note the District Office will be closed on December 31, 2012 and January 1, 2013.)

Due to inclement weather, all after school and evening activities, including concerts, athletic events and practices have been cancelled for Thursday, April 18, 2013.  Board of Education committee meetings have been cancelled and will be rescheduled next week.  The District will continue to monitor weather, travel and road conditions and will alert you as early as possible should there be any schedule changes tomorrow.  Please watch the website for updates.


Due to inclement weather, school opening has been delayed for Wednesday, February 27th.  All morning activities and athletic practices have been cancelled.  Start times are as follows:

  • Central High School will start at 8:50 AM
  • North High School will start at 9:15 AM
  • There will be no zero hour classes at either campus

Note: Buses are operating.  Students are to be at their bus stop 1 Hour 20 minutes later than the scheduled pickup time.
