The mission of the D127 Prevention and Wellness program is to educate and empower students to make healthy decisions that will contribute to individual student success and a healthy school community. The program aims to promote a variety of health and wellness initiatives through comprehensive, holistic, and research-based programming to accomplish the following goals:

  • Improve help-seeking behaviors

  • Provide access to accurate health and wellness information and resources

  • Increase student leadership and peer education opportunities

  • Engage diverse school and community stakeholders in collaborative efforts to promote health and wellness initiatives

  • Advocate for a school environment that supports healthy behaviors and reduces harmful behaviors

  • Foster positive school climate and connectedness
