Monday, May 1st is National College Decision Day. Help us support and celebrate our seniors by wearing your favorite college or career swag.

There will be a Spanish Honor Society meeting with current and new members on Monday, May 1st at 2:50pm in Room 1205.

The Spring Art Show starts next Tuesday, May 2nd.  Come view the awesome art work of your peers.

Congratulations Girls Varsity soccer on your 4-1 conference win against Lakes last night.  2 goals apiece scored by Joslynn Smith and Madeline Mussay.  Good luck in the Glenbrook cup this weekend!

Congratulations to the Varsity softball team for their 5-4 victory over Grant yesterday.  Lexi Waigand had 2 RBI and 2 hits in the win including a walk off double that scored Nicole Warren to seal the victory.  Reagen Radke got the win for the Rams as they improved their overall record to 16-4.  Great Job Ladies!

For all boys interested in playing soccer next fall, there will be a meeting on Monday, May 1st at 7:10 AM in Room 2215 to discuss summer soccer, registration, and tryouts. Please see Coach Hamilton in the English Office if you have any questions.

Seniors - Herff Jones will be here TODAY for Cap and Gown pick up.  Tables will be located near the SLO doors outside of the Field House during all lunch hours.  Please make every effort to pick your gown up on that date.  If you have not yet ordered your cap and gown, please see Ms. Becker in the Principal’s Office.

For all boys interested in playing soccer next fall, there will be a meeting on Monday, May 1st at 7:10 AM in Room 2215 to discuss summer soccer, registration, and tryouts. Please see Coach Hamilton in the English Office if you have any questions.

The GCHS Bands and Choirs competed at IHSA State Music Contest on Saturday, April 22 at Harvard High School.  Honors Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, Jazz Choir and Honors Treble Choir all earned Division 1 (Superior - Highest) ratings, while the Honors Symphonic Band and Honors Mixed Choir earned Division 2 (Excellent) ratings.  Sweepstakes points earned at this event, along with the points earned at IHSA State Solo and Ensemble contest held March 4 here at GCHS, gave the music department a total of 780 points.  GCHS is currently ranked SIXTH in STATE for all Class AA schools, and the GCHS Music Department has now achieved the distinction of placing in the top 10 for all Illinois High Schools for the past 15 years.  Congratulations to all Music students on this remarkable achievement!

There will be a Spanish Honor Society meeting with current and new members on Monday, May 1st at 2:50pm in Room 1205.

Congratulations to the Varsity Softball team on their 10-9 Victory over Wauconda last night in extra innings.  Elisa Koshy hit her 8th home run of the season, and also scored the winning run on a walk-off double hit by Nicole Buerger!  The victory last night moves the team record to 15-4 on the season and 6-1 in conference play.  Great Job ladies!

Today after school the SAGE club will have its last meeting of the year.  Come with your ideas about how to make next year's SAGE club even better for all LGBTQ students and allies.

The Boys Varsity Tennis Team defeated North Chicago 7-0.  Winning at 1st Singles-Vance Dayola.  Winning at 3rd Singles-Mike Patricilli.  Winning at 2nd Doubles-Jacob Zboril and Jake Ryan.

Inkblots is in need of artwork for its 2017 cover. Please send your creative drawings and photography to jrush@d127.org by Wednesday, April 26th. All submissions must include the name Inkblots and 2017 somewhere on the cover.

Do you love to dance and perform?  Then tryout for the GCHS Poms team!  The team performs at all home football and basketball games and competes all over the state.  There will be an informational meeting in room 2335 today at 4:00 PM.  Tryouts will follow on the 26th, 27th, and 28th.  For any questions, please contact Ms. Bevente.
