HELLLLOOOOOOOO GCHS!  Are you ready to rock and roll?  Do you want to choose the jams during passing periods in the hallways?  If so, come on out to GCHS Mixtape!  Our first informational meeting will be tomorrow in room 2460.  Bring some song ideas and get ready to rock GCHS 3 minutes at a time!  All musical tastes are welcome!  If you are interested in joining, but cannot attend the meeting, please see Mr. Plaza in the Social Studies office or room 2460.

Please join Sociedad de Latinos for the first meeting of the year today at 3pm in the Arena.  SdL celebrates Latino culture, music and food! We support the Latino student population and discuss topics impacting the Latino population. Mrs. Casillas hopes to see you there!

Attention anyone interested in playing boys volleyball in the spring.  There will be an informational meeting in 2205 after school on Thursday.  Questions contact Coach Erlenbaugh.

Welcome back all members of French and Spanish Honors societies!  Please plan to attend our first meeting of the year tomorrow after school in room 1230.  We will discuss Homecoming and on-going membership requirements.  If you have any questions please see Senora Rehm or Madame Shore. 

GCHS Key Club will have its first club meeting today at 3 pm in the Arena.  Membership and other important information will be discussed, so please do your best to attend.  If you are interested in joining, but cannot attend the meeting, please see Mr. Plaza or Ms. Bisevac in the Social Studies office.

Art Club’s first meeting will be today after school in Room 2610.  Be part of a fun, creative group.  Everyone is welcome.  Any questions, see Mrs. Berns in Room 2610.

FBLA New Member meeting will be Thursday afterschool in room 1350 from 2:50-3:30PM.  Come find out what FBLA is all about.  There will be free Pizza, new friends, and information about FBLA.  Please fill out the short survey so we can order the right amount and types of pizza for everyone.  Previous year members should fill out the survey so we have an accurate count.  Please bring your own drink.

Calling all artists, photographers, writers, and poets, or people who just like to talk about that stuff. Inkblots is having its first meeting of the year on Thursday from 3-4pm in room 2120. If you have original work to submit for the magazine, share it with jrush@d127.org. If you’re looking inspiration on what to write about, our theme this week is SPACE and however you see it. Anyone who submits a piece with that theme and gets it accepted into the magazine will win free popcorn for the semester.

All students must have their ID on them when getting on the bus.  If you do not have one, stop by the Dean’s Office or the Bookstore.

Attention Jr. and Sr. class – there will be an informational meeting about powderpuff on Thursday.  The first meeting will take place at 7 a.m. in Room 2020.  The second meeting will take place at 3 p.m. in Room 2175.  If you have any questions, stop by Room 2710 to speak with Mrs. Baird.

Do you like to argue?  Do you enjoy proving why you are right?  Would you like to see how Congress functions?  Then join us at the debate team meeting, Wednesday after school in Room 2315.  New students are welcome. Ice cream will be served.  Come see why it’s great to debate!  See Mr. D’Amico if you have any questions.

Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Golf team on their finish in the Lake Co. Invite yesterday.  Michael Sisk shot a 74, and finished 5th.  Alec Novak and Tyler Hanson shot 78, and Zach Wichlin had the 4th score that counted for the Rams.

There is a late start tomorrow.  School will start at 8:50 a.m. and buses will pick up an hour and 20 mins AFTER your normal pick up time.

ATTENTION FRESHMEN: Are you interested in helping with FRESHMEN CLASS HOMECOMING ACTIVITES? Come to a planning meeting at 7 AM tomorrow morning in Rm: 1120, the drama room. It will be lots of fun!

Are you interested in German language, culture, and current events? Come check out German Club! We will be having our introductory meeting today from 2:50 to 3:20 in room 1140. We will be talking about general goals for the club and plans for homecoming! Everyone is welcome, even if you aren’t enrolled in a German class!!! Congrats to the JV Boys golf team for finishing 3rd at the Rams JV invite this weekend.  Kollin Wardin and Cameron Mussay took third place overall.
