You are totally out of this world Grayslake Central!  Just a reminder that tickets can still be pre-purchased through midnight tonight.  Otherwise, you will have to purchase at the door.

Today is the day we’ve all be waiting for!  Get “pepped up” and ready for the Pep Assembly that will take place at the end of the day in the Field House.  The parade will begin at 4pm today on Center St., followed by the Varsity football game at 7:15 p.m.  Come cheer your Rams on! 

Homecoming Court will be announced before the Varsity football game tonight.  The dance is tomorrow night from 7-10 p.m.  All students attending the dance need an ID to attend!

 

The Girls Varsity Tennis Team defeated Conference Opponent Wauconda by a score of 5-2.  Karishma Bhalla, Lilia Begin and Sravya Yellaprayada won at Singles.  Grace Caldwell/Aviva Krill and Maddie Enman/Karina Regalado won at Doubles.

 

JV Girls Tennis won 4-3 against Wauconda last night! Winning at 4th Doubles  — Isa Morales & Paulina Pukel, and winning at 6th doubles - Gerisha Williams and Annabelle Williams.

 

Shoutout to the awesome group of freshmen who stopped by 9th Hour this week! If you're looking for a bit of help in English, Math, Biology or World History, consider stopping by Freshman 9th Hour on Tuesday and Thursday of next week!

 

Exploring World Cultures is going to South Africa! If you are interested in joining this once in lifetime experience please come to the informational meeting on Monday, September 23rd at 6:15 p.m. in the black box at North.  Or contact Mr. Barry or Ms. Tomasello for more information.

 

Attention all lacrosse players, if you are interested in playing lacrosse in the spring and not currently playing a fall sport please come out this Tuesday night, September 24th, at 6:00 pm for open turf in the stadium.  All levels of players are welcome.  If you have any questions please see Mr. Ellis in room 2200.  We hope to see you there.

Hello GCHS!  Don’t forget you can still purchase tickets online for $30 for the Homecoming Dance until midnight tomorrow.  Golf Cart decorating is scheduled for today after school from 3-4:30.  Home athletic events include Tennis at 4 p.m. and Soccer at 6:15. 

Tomorrow is School Spirit Day!  Wear green, white or both!  Remember, tomorrow is our homecoming parade in downtown Grayslake, along with the football game at home beginning at 7:15 p.m.

 

Attention wrestlers and anyone interested in joining the wrestling team that is not currently out for a fall sport. There is a mandatory meeting after school today @3pm in the wrestling room.

 

Freshman 9th Hour will be today from 3:00-4:00 in room 1575. Stop by to meet with a biology or world history teacher.  Or take advantage of our awesome group of peer math tutors!

 

Come to Inkblots today to read some poetry and critique art from fellow students, hang out with great people and eat some snacks. We’re meeting in 2120 from 3-4.

 

The boys Varsity Golf team won their 7th dual of the season yesterday beating Wauconda.  Low scores for the Rams were shot by Brendan Whalen, Keegan Fitzgerald, Cam Mussay, Gianni Luchessi and Jack Bank.

Homecoming tickets can be purchased online via the link on Schoology, or at the Bookstore for $30.

 

Are you ready for some football?!  Powder Puff Football is TONIGHT at 5:30 p.m.  Freshmen play Sophomores at 5:30 p.m., and Juniors play Seniors play at 6:45 p.m.  Admission is $5!  Don’t forget Flicks on the Field featuring Space Jam will take place immediately after the Junior/Senior game.  Admission is included with your Powder Puff admission.

 

Golf cart decorating will be held tomorrow in the dots and ladders hallway below the Field House.  Tomorrow is class color day.  Seniors wear blue, Juniors wear pink, Sophomores wear orange, and Freshmen wear green.  Faculty will wear purple.

Congratulations to the JV Boys golf team with their victory over Lakes last night.  They shot a team best with a 181.  Tom Bolin, Andrew Kubo, Nolan Blennis and Justin Kissner all had low scores.

The Girls Varsity Tennis Tean defeated McHenry 8-0.

The Girls Varsity Team won the 1st Place Trophy at the Grayslake North 8 Team Tournament.  Karishma Bhalla-1st Place at 1st Singles.  Mia Falconi-2nd Place at 2nd Singles.

 

The first day of 9th Hour is tomorrow! If you're a freshman and you are looking for a little help with English or Math, stop by room 1575 after school. English and Math teachers will be available from 3:00-4:00.  Stop by and get the help you need!

 

Attention Best Buddies members- please meet at the Counseling Center of Grayslake for window painting after school. 

 

There will be an informational meeting for Science Olympiad today.  Come to room 1400, we will start the meeting at 3:00.  If you have questions, please see Mr. Philipp.

 

The Rams Cross Country traveled down to Peoria on Friday for the First to the Finish invite.  Bryn Sato, Caroline Kokkin, and Grace Kokkin received medals for placing in the top 50 out of over 500 people!  Sato and the Kokkins led the Varsity Girls team to a strong 9th place finish, as Craig Hundley led the Varsity Boys to a 12th place finish.  The team was full of personal bests and they look to keep it going this Tuesday at home on Senior Night.  Good Luck Rams!!
