It is now time to register for the Advanced Placement test(s) for which you have been preparing through honors and AP course work. The majority of exams will be given at the University Center at the College of Lake County with the exception being World Language and Art Studio. Exams will be administered from May 4, 2020 through May 15, 2020.
The CollegeBoard’s Advanced Placement Program enables students to pursue college-level studies while still in high school. Based on their performance on AP Exams, students can earn credit for college. In addition, the number of exams students take may qualify them for various levels of AP Scholar Recognition.
Register for the AP Tests associated with the AP courses for which you are enrolled at www.collegeboard.org
Students should register for each AP course, and indicate that they would like to "Order Exam" in order to commit to the test and have it ordered by our October deadline.
Submit your payment for your tests. Each exam is $94. The College Board’s fee policy can be found here: https://apstudents.collegeboard.org/exam-policies-guidelines/exam-fees You may pay for the fee in the GNHS bookstore or online in the Webstore.
Late and Cancellation Fees – AP Exams for year-long courses are ordered in October 2019, with a change deadline of November 15. AP Exams for classes that start in the 2nd semester will be ordered in February 2020 with a change deadline of March 13. If anyone decides to order an exam after those dates, there is a $40 fee in addition to the regular exam fee. Should a student not take the exam for any reason after the November 15 or March 13 dates, parent/guardian(s)/students are responsible for the $40 unused/cancellation fee.
After testing is completed, the CollegeBoard will notify you that the results are ready to view on their website in July. Results are also submitted to colleges (upon your authorization). If you have any questions please feel free to call Adam DeCaluwe, Testing Coordinator at email@example.com, or Andrea Tompoles at firstname.lastname@example.org with questions you may have regarding AP.
