Thirteen talented students from District 127 (GNHS and GCHS) represented their schools with pride and professionalism at the SkillsUSA Illinois State Competition in Peoria on April 26–27, 2025. Competing against top students from across the state, these future leaders showcased the career and technical skills they had developed through the Tech Campus.
SkillsUSA is a national organization that empowers students to become world-class workers, leaders, and responsible citizens. Most students completed rigorous qualifying exams to qualify for the state-level competition, earning the right to test their skills against peers in their chosen career pathway.

Each student demonstrated confidence, professionalism, and technical excellence. These results reflect not only their hard work but also the strength of D127’s growing commitment to career and technical education, which prepares students for real-world experiences.
