Grayslake North was full of joy on Wednesday, August 13, as students returned for the first day of the 2025–26 school year. From reconnecting with friends to diving into new classes, our Knights showed up with enthusiasm, purpose, and pride.
This year’s theme at Grayslake North is Do Something That Brings You Joy! It must have resonated with staff and students because that energy was felt in every hallway, classroom, and welcome-back smile. Staff lined the entrances to greet students with cheers and high-fives, setting a tone of connection and positivity that carried throughout the day.
During the day, students followed their schedules, connecting with each teacher and their new classmates. They also enjoyed time reconnecting on the football field with games and activities, facing each other in classic challenges like tug-of-war and Twister.
“This is the kind of start we strive for—joyful, welcoming, and filled with possibility,” said Principal Dr. Jim Roscoe. “We’re proud of the positive energy our students and staff brought this week, and we are beyond excited for all the adventures this year will bring.”
Here’s to a year of growth, discovery, and unforgettable moments. Go Knights!
