Dear Grayslake North Families and Staff,
Grayslake Public Works notified D127 today of a local water main break that requires emergency repair immediately after school. To complete the repair, water service to the Grayslake North campus must be shut off.
As a result, Grayslake North will close beginning at 4:00 PM today. All after-school activities and athletic events scheduled at Grayslake North this evening are cancelled. This includes all outdoor activities, as training facilities, running water, and restrooms will be unavailable.
We expect the repair to be completed within a few hours and fully anticipate that school will operate as normal tomorrow. In the unlikely event that unexpected issues arise and the building must remain closed, Grayslake North would move to an e-learning day. If that becomes necessary, a decision will be communicated by 9 PM this evening via the district email, text, and phone alert system. We will keep you updated on the status of the repair.
This repair only affects Grayslake North. All events and school activities at Grayslake Central will continue as scheduled.
